Title: Analysis of Rotor Interaction to Wing for Side-by-Side Rotor Helicopter
Abstract: A mathematical model for calculating rotor interaction to wing for side-by-side rotor helicopter was established according to the aerodynamic interaction effect of the downwash flow on the wing. In the model ,the flapping angle was calculated by establishing motion equations of universal-hinged rotor. The calculation of blade aerodynamics was based on an unsteady airfoil model-Beddoes model to consider the stall effect due to the large twist angle. The Pitt-Peters dynamic inflow model was introduced into the calculation of induced velocities across rotor. The XV-15 tilt-rotor model was taken as examples to calculate the wing download of the rotor in trimmed state and compared with the results of GTRS model. The analytical results show that the mathematical model is reasonable.
