Title: Experience with Thoracoscopic Lobectomy Treatment of 26 Patients with Early Stage Lung Cancer
Abstract: Objective To investigate the safety 、efficancy and indications of completely thoracoscopic lobectomy treatment of lung cancer. Methods The lobectomy was completed through three tiny incisions in the intercostal space.Anatomic lobectomies were carried out in all cases and systemic lymph node dissection was performed. This group consisted of lobectomies of right upper lobe(n = 6),right middle lobe(n = 3),right lower lobe(n = 5),left upper lobe(n = 5),and left lower lobe(n = 7).Results All procedures were successfully completed. All were treated conservatively without re-operation.No operative mortality or serious complications occurred in this group. The operative duration was(163.07 ± 20.83) min.The blood loss was(255.77 ± 51.83) ml.Chest drainage blood was(348.04 ± 39.13) ml.Postoperative hospital stay was(9.96 ± 0.82) days.Followed-up time was for 6 to 12 months,no metastasis happened after operation. Conclusion The completely thoracoscopic lobectomy is a safe and feasible surgical procedure with minimal invasiveness. The advocated indications include selected early stage lung cancer.
