Abstract:The numerical simulation about V-riblet surface and smooth surface has been carried out at various velocities.The characteristics of riblet surface's microcosmic flow field and some rules about riblet...The numerical simulation about V-riblet surface and smooth surface has been carried out at various velocities.The characteristics of riblet surface's microcosmic flow field and some rules about riblet surface's drag reduction effect influenced by velocity are found out.Based on the characteristic of riblet surface's flow field,computation model,region,grids and boundary condition are dealt with reasonably.The results of simulation show that at the same velocity pressure drag of riblet surface increases slightly and viscous drag,which account for 80% of total drag,reduces remarkably compared with smooth surfaces,so it makes drag reduction effect.For the same riblet surface,the exchange and the transform of turbulent boundary layer's energy are more intense as the velocity increases,which makes its drag reduction effect more obvious at a low speed than a high speed.Read More
