Title: Analysis of risk factors for patients with type 2 diabetes and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
Abstract: Objective To investigate the risk factors for patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM)and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods A total of 122 patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into two groups, including T2DM with NAFLD group and T2DM without NAFLD group according to the results of ultrasonography. The waist circumference, waist/hip ratio(WHR),body mass index(BMI),liver function, and blood lipid level and insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with T2DM without NAFLD group, the waist circumference, waist/hip ratio(WHR),BMI,TC,TG,LDL-C,ALT,and HOMA-IR in T2DM and NAFLD group were higher(P0.05). TG,the waist circumference,BMI,and HOMA-IR were independent risk factors for T2DM patients with NAFLD with logistic analysis(P0.05).Conclusion T2DM with NAFLD is related with many kinds of metabolic abnormality, among which obesity, triglyceride and insulin resistance are the most important factors.
