Title: Investigation on mental health and its influential factors of medical college students
Abstract: Aim: To contribute psychological basis for improving mental health to medical college students. Methods: Mental health and its influential factors of 314 students from a certain medical college chose by random sample were investigated with SCL-90, EPQ, LES, and common condition questionnaire。Results: PST and PSDI of medical college students were significantly higher than those of ordinary youth except for somatization(P0.05 or 0.01). Statistical differences existed between the single-child group and the multi-child group as well as family atmosphere(P0.05). Stepwise regression to influential factors for SCL-90 indicated that the higher the scores of negative life events and N value and the more disharmonious the family atmosphere,the higher the total score of SCL-90.Conclusion: Nervous factors under the social and culture circumstances, N score, and family atmosphere are some of primary influential factors of mental health.
