Title: Comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of the comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine on diabetic peripheral neuropathy( DPN). Method: 60DPN patients met the standard were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,30 in each group. The control group used the same basic treatment,oral methylcobalamin hydrochloride tablets,and the treatment group were treated with oral medicine decoction treatment with acupuncture method. The combining clinical efficacy in patients was compared by neuropathy Credits( MDNS) and EMG after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 96. 7% in treatment group and 60. 0% in the control group. The treatment group was significantly better than the control group( P 0. 05). After treatment,the symptom score of the treatment group compared with control group had significant differences( P 0. 05). The diabetic neuropathy score and nerve conduction velocity had a significant difference( P 0. 05) in the treatment group compared with those of the control group,and both groups had significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion: The oral administration of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture combination therapy has a better clinical effect on DPN and gives full play to the advantages of Chinese medicine,and should be widely applied.
