Title: Evaluation of training about postoperative pain relief for patients
Abstract: Aim : To evaluate the effects of training about postoperative pain relief for patients. Methods: A total of 216 patients were going to undergo elective surgery in general surgical department were trained about the postoperative pain relief knowledge, and the questionnaire survey before and after training was carried out. Results: There were significant difference in following aspects before and after training (P 0.05) :knowledge of postoperative pain relief,demanding pain relief, the reason for postoperative pain relief, and knowledge of medicine about postoperative pain relief, method of postoperative pain relief, and knowledge of who is in charge of postoperative pain Conclusion; The training for elective surgery patients can clear up the misunderstanding about knowledge of postoperative pain relief. Nurses have the same responsibility as clinical doctors in popularizing the knowledge of postoperative pain relief.
