Title: Diagnostic analysis on a heavy rain on May 21, 2012 in southwestern Guizhou
Abstract: Abstact: Based on NCEP / NCAR reanalysis data with the resolution of 1o × 1o and the FY-2C satellite data,including the brightness blackbody temperature on cloud-top(TBB) data with the resolution of 0.05o × 0.05o,the conventional data of surface.The characters and diagnostic analysis during 05.21heavy rainfall process in the Southwest of Guizhou is studied in detail.The results are as follows: the heavy rainfall takes place under the favorable large-scale circumfluence,which includes the coupling between a high level jet steam and a low level jet steam intensifies,and the atmospheric stratification around Guizhou turning very unstable.The System was cause by MCC which is evolution and development of MCS gradually,has the typical meso-scale features.The primary influencing factors are related to the torrential rain closely.The further study suggests that there exits close relationship between helicity and the heavy rain,which presents that the higher helicity may be of the mechanisms of rain storm development,along with a prospective study in this field.
