Title: CT and MRI Diagnosis and Relative Features of Multiple Meningiomas
Abstract: Objective:To study the CT and MRI features of multiple meningioma and have a better understanding of this disease. Methods:CT and MRI findings and clinical data of 19 cases of multiple meningioma proved by operation and pathology were reviewed retrospectively. Results:Among the 51 tumors found in 19 patients, most of their diameters were smaller than 1.5 centimeters, and peritumoral edema in brain convexity was obvious.Substantial parts of tumor showed iso-or slightly hyperdensity on CT plain scan, and presented as homogeneous iso-or slightly hyposignal intensity both on T1WI and T2WI,enhanced remarkable after injecting contrast medium. The rate of dural tail sign occurrence was low in small tumors. Conclusion:MRI can detect more tumors which CT scan can′t display,CT and MRI can show the location and extent of tumors clearly, which is helpful in planning treatment and evaluating the prognosis.
