Title: Expression of HSP70,Ki-67 and nm23-H1 in na-sopharyngeal carcinoma
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical valueof expression of HSP70, Ki-67 and nm23-H1 in nasopha-ryngeal carcinoma (NPC). METHODS Expression ofHSP70,Ki-67 and nm23-H1 were examined in primarytumor tissues or metastasis cervical lymph nodes of50 patients with NPC by immunohistochemicaltechniques. RESULTS The positive rates of HSP70,Ki-67 and nm23-H1 in 50 patients were 36.0 %(18/50),98.0 %(49/50) and 50.0 %(25/50) respectively. The posi-tive expression of HSP70 , nm23-H1 in Ⅱ -Ⅲ stageswere significantly different from that of Ⅳ a stage (P=0.016,P = 0.037). Expression of HSP70, nm23-H1were the factor of regional recurrence or distantmetastases in Binary logistic regression analysis (P=0.022,P =0.038). COX multivariate analysis identi-fied that expression of HSP70 was independent factorto overall survival (P =0.001); Expression of nm23-H1 protein had negative correlation with HSP70(P=0.003). Expression of Ki-67 had no correlation withregional recurrence or distant metastasis and overallsurvival. CONCLUSION The detection of HSP70,nm23-H1 expressions is valuable to the estimation ofprognosis and treatment of NPC.
