Title: Rational Selection of Heat Exchanger Based on Knowledge Engineering
Abstract: As key equipment for adjusting fluid temperature to meet the process requirements or to save energy, heat exchangers are widely used in oil-refinery, chemical, metallurgical, food and other industries. Heat exchangers are non-standard and special equipment. Although there are standards and codes for the design of heat exchangers, there are still many selections in types and structure, thus the innovation of structures is also needed. In this paper, a database for heat exchangers is established based on knowledge engineering theory and the one software is developed by using Visual Studio 2010, which is applied for the selection of heat exchanger types and structures. This software aims at fast and rational design of heat exchangers.
