Title: Reliability analysis of a new bridge deflection monitoring system based on fluid dynamics pressure computation
Abstract: Bridge health monitoring has become a research emphasis. In this paper, the main purpose is to do some performance analysis for a new kind of hydraulic bridge deflection monitoring system, and plan to get the correlation between the pressure and the deflection under the real bridge condition with the help of the large fluid finite element calculation software FLUENT. It was found that the precision of this system is very high especially in monitoring slower frequency and smaller deflection, and the roughness of galvanized steel pipe don’t influence the precision.
