Title: Microstructures and mechanical properties of K465 super alloy wide-gap brazed joints with two brazing filler metals
Abstract: Wide-gap brazing experiments of K465 super alloy were conducted by pre-filling the Ni-based alloy powder and two kinds of brazing filler metals,a Co-based filler metal and a Ni-based filler metal. The results showed, sound joints were obtained by both the two filler metals. The microstructure of the joint brazed with the Co-based filler metal was mainly composed of the Ni-based alloy powder particles,(Ni,Co) solid solution among particles and gray block-shaped phase M23(C,B)6and white block-shaped phase M3B2.While the microstructure of the joint brazed with the Ni-based filler metal was mainly composed of the Ni-based alloy powder particles,(Ni,Cr) solid solution among particles and white block-shaped phase M3B2.The average tensile strength at 900 ℃ of the joints brazed with the Co-based filler metal was 520 MPa,while the average tensile strength at 900 ℃ of the joints brazed with the Co-based filler metal was only 488 MPa which still exceeded 50% of that of the K465 base metal.
