Abstract:Objective:To analyze the effect factors of pregnancy rate of intrauterine insemination (IUI) by means of analyzing 339 cycles of IUI of 229 patients.Methods:The pregnancy rates of intrauterine insemin...Objective:To analyze the effect factors of pregnancy rate of intrauterine insemination (IUI) by means of analyzing 339 cycles of IUI of 229 patients.Methods:The pregnancy rates of intrauterine insemination were compared according to six respects: infertility reasons,length of infertility,stimulation and natural cycles,different protocols for stimulating ovulation (CC group,CC+hMG group,hMG group),insemination opportunity and cycle number.Results:The pregnancy rate resulting from male factors (21.91%) was significantly higher than those from the other factors (P0.05),and the pregnancy rate with the length of infertility less than 2 years (21.91%) was significantly higher than that with the length of infertility more than 2 years (P0.05).There was no difference in the pregnancy rate between stimulation and natural cycles (17.98% vs 13.51%) ,the three different protocols for stimulating ovulation (CC 16.48%,CC+hMG 21.51%,hMG 13.64%),IUI once and twice (16.81% vs 16.36 %),IUI once before and after ovulation (11.32% vs 21.21%) (P0. 05).Conclusion:IUI is valuable for infertility caused by male factors.Choosing the most suitable insemination opportunity is the key to increase the pregnancy rate.Read More
