Title: Preparation of Mercapto Carboxylic Acid-Stabilized CdTe Quantum Dots in Aqueous Solution
Abstract: The water-soluble CdTe quantum dots(QDs) whose surface were negatively charged were synthesized in aqueous solution with thioglycolic acid(TGA),mercaptopropionic acid(MPA) and a certain propotion mixture of them,repectively,and its properties were compared.The results indicated that TGA- MPA(molar ratio was 1∶4) co-stabilized CdTe QDs displayed size tunable,highly uniform in diameter,easier prepared long wavelength quantum dots,a relatively narrower FWHM and higher quantum yield compared to single TGA or MPA stabilized CdTe QDs.
