Title: Study on Microstructure and Properties of Al-22Si-3Fe-xMn-0.045P Alloy at Casting State and Heat Treatment State
Abstract: The effects of different manganese contents on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-Si alloy with high Fe content were studied. Different microstructures in the as cast alloy and after 800 ℃ high temperature heat treatment were analyzed by using XRD and optical microscopy; effect of manganese content on tensile strength of as cast Al-Si alloy with high Fe content was studied. The results show that: after 800℃ heat treatment, there is only Al3FeSi2 in Fe-rich phase of the alloy, and with the holding time increasing, the primary silicon turns into abnormal five petals star-shaped and extremely large lath shape; when content of Mn/Fe=0.6, the maximum tensile strength of the alloy is 148 MPa.
