Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effects pantoprazole and omeprazole on upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage induced by hypertensive encephalorrhagia.Methods Totally 65 patients with upper gastrointesti...Objective To compare the clinical effects pantoprazole and omeprazole on upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage induced by hypertensive encephalorrhagia.Methods Totally 65 patients with upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage induced by hypertensive encephalorrhagia were randomly divided as pantoprazole group (n=35) and omeprazole group (n=30).The patients in the two groups were treated,based on the fundamental treatment,respectively with pantoprazole 80 mg and omeprazole 40 mg intravenous drip twice a day,and the curative effects and side effects were observed.Results There was no significant difference in effective between the two groups (P0.05).However the incidence of adverse reaction in pantoprazole group was lower than that in omeprazole group,with a significant difference (P0.05).Conclusion The effect of pantoprazole on upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage induced by hypertensive encephalorrhagia is similar to that of omeprazole,however it is of lower incidence of adverse reaction than the latter.Read More
