Title: QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION OF UNDERGROUND TRAIN-INDUCED VIBRATIONS OF A FRAME STRUCTURE UNDER MULTI-SUPPORTS EXCITATION
Abstract: Uniform excitation was used in almost all the existing literatures to determinate the underground train-induced vibrations in buildings. In this paper, a methodology for the quantitative evaluation of underground train-induced vibrations in a frame structure with consideration of multi-support excitation is presented. Two-dimensional finite element model is developed, using the results of a ground vibration measurement campaing purposely performed at the site as input excitations. The vibration levels in the structure are obtained to multi-support excitation, and the levels for traveling wave excitation and uniform excitation are also, respectively, calculated so that the comparison of the vibration levels in the building to the three types of excitations can be made. Furthermore, the quantitative evaluation of the vibration levels in the building is made.
