Title: Education of the Humanities, Science and Integrated Personality
Abstract: The goal of education is to develop the integrated personality of both humane spirit and scientific attainment, instead of disintegrated personality lacking in humane accomplishment while abundant in scientific skills or vice versa. The advance of modern science and technology has already led to flourish in the education of science and declination in the education of humanity. Such value orientations as overemphasis on science and technology and understimation of the humanities seem to have won the advantage with the popularization of higher education. Therefore, the balance between science and the humanities in higher education is broken.And as a result,is higher education has become a training of disintegrated personality. To develop integrated persbnality, it is necessary to devote great attention to the education of the humanities and its permeation through and mixture with the education of science.
