Title: On the Life Experience and Poetry Creation of Poets Exiled to Lingnan in the Early Tang Dynasty
Abstract: Poets, such as Zhang Yue,Shen Quanqi,Song Zhiwen,Du Shenyan, etc, had complicated life experience when they were exiled to Lingnan region in the early years of the Tang Dynasty.Frustration of exile, spiritual torture, exotic local customs and rough environment of Lingnan, and surprise of releasing, all these gave them strong creative motivation, enriched their poetic imagery, strengthened their poetic feelings and caused the change of poetry's lyrical mode.Because of the deformation of their life experience, they especially highlighted the negative factors in their poetry, such as ugliness, danger, weirdness, etc.,which had a significant impact on Lingnan's later poetic style.
