Title: Experiment Study on the Relationship between Water Content and Shear Strength Parameters of Unsaturated Soil in Hebei Province
Abstract: By unconsolidated-undrained triaxial tests of unsaturated soil with remolded soil samples and undisturbed soil samples in Hebei province, relationship between water content andshearstrength parameters of unsaturated soilisstudied. The results show that the change of water content has great effect on cohesion but little on inner frictional angle, which has decreased trend with the increase of water content of unsaturated soil. The relationship enhances our cognition on un- saturated soil and makes it easier for engineers to apply the study results of unsaturated soil to engineering practice.
