Title: Correlation of plasma NT-proBNP and ET levels in patients with chronic heart failure
Abstract: 【Objective】 To measure plasma N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) and endothelin(ET) concentrations in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF),and to study their correlation and clinical significance.【Methods】 A total of 78 subjects were divided into two groups:CHF patient group(58 cases),and control group(20 cases).Plasma NT-proBNP concentration was measured by ANALYTICS E170 Immunity Analyzer, plasma ET concentration was measured with radioimmunoassay, and to study their correlation was investigated.【Results】①Plasma NT-proBNP and ET concentrations increased in CHF patients compared with those of control group(P 0.001,0.05 by turns);Plasma NT-proBNP concentrations were correlated with ET in CHF patients(r =0.696,P 0.001).【Conclusion】The results suggest that the levels of plasma NT-proBNP and ET may possess important significance in development of CHF.
