Title: Techno-economic Analysis of Boiler Water Feeding Pump Driven by Steam Turbine in Thermal Power Plant
Abstract: It is proposed that the small steam turbine is used to drive the boiler water feedingpump in thermal power plant. The steam discharged from the turbine after doing work mixes with thesteam from the boiler after cooling and decompression to heat the softened water that flows into the thermaldeaerator. The economy of three kinds of schemes is compared, including electric motor-driven waterfeeding pump plus variable frequency speed-governing system,electric motor-driven water feeding pumpplus fluid coupling speed-governing system and steam turbine-driven water feeding pump plus electro-hy-draulic speed-governing system. The third scheme is the most economic ode.
