Title: The Positive Impacts of Foreign Direct Investmenton China's Economic Development
Abstract: This paper generally introduces the relative theories of the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) and host countries' economic development, and then discusses the positive impacts of FDI on China's economic development. It argues that FDI brings about some sound effects on accelerating the capital formation, enlarging the employment and improving the economic productivity. On the whole, FDI notably promotes the national economic growth. Through our in-depth analysis of the positive impacts of FDI, we verify that the use of FDI advances China's industrial structure, strengthens international trade and optimizes the composition of import ed and export ed commodities. The generation of all these energetic effects both directly and indirectly promotes China's economic development.
