Title: Comparison of the treatment of Escitalopram and Sertraline for depression
Abstract: Objective:To study the treatment and the safety of Escitalopram and Sertraline for depression.Methods:70 CCMD-3 depression patients are randomly separated for two teams,which are Escitalopram team and Sertraline team in six week.The dosage of Escitalopram and Sertraline is 10~20 mg/d and 50~200 mg/d.HAMD and HAMA are used for checking the treatment.TESS and assess in the laboratory are used for checking the adverse reaction and safety.Results: There is no distinctly difference with the treatment,the adverse reaction and the expulsion rate between Escitalopram and Sertraline.The effective rate of Escitalopram and Sertraline is 70.6% and 62.6%,and the treatment rate is 47.1% and 42.1%.The adverse reaction of Escitalopram is in appetence,nausea,dizziness and dryness of the mouth,the same as that of Sertraline.The expulsion rate and the no-follow rate of Escitalopram is 11.8% and 14.7%,the similar as that of Sertraline.Conclusions: Escitalopram is one of the safe and effect substances for treating the depression,which has the same treatment as Sertraline.But Escitalopram is more effectively than Sertraline.
