Title: Functions of some proteins encoded by members of family Closteroviridae
Abstract: Closteroviruses which infect beet, citrus, tomato, potato, cherry, lettuce and other important crops, are the largest and most complex family of plant positive-strand RNA viruses, it contains genera of Closterovirus, Ampelo-virus and Crinivirus, and the type member of each genus is Beet yellows virus(BYV), Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3(GLRaV-3) and Lettuce infectious yellows virus(LIYV), respectively. With intensive study, the number of newly identified closteroviruses is increasing rapidly. The complete nucleotide sequences of some members have been determined and the functions of a number of proteins such as HSP70h, CP and CPd, proteins for virus replication, etc.that encoded by viral genes have been studied. This reviews summarized and discussed the functions of these proteins.
