Title: Determination of Eight Carbamate Pesticides in Vegetables by High Performance Liquid Chromatography
Abstract: A new method for the simultaneous determination of eight carbamate pesticides in Chinese cabbage,pepper,egg-plant,tomato,Chinese spinach,bitter gourd,cabbage and cowpea by high performance liquid chromatography was developed.Eight carbamate pesticides was extracted from the samples by acetonitrile,salted,purified with LC-NH2 column and determined by high performance liquid chromatography using post-column derivatization with fluorescence detector.The proposed methods showed a good linearity between analytical signal in the range of 0.1~1.0 mg/L with the linear correlation coefficients of 0.99943~0.99992 and limits of detection of 0.008~0.01 mg/kg.The average recoveries obtained from samples spiked with standards at concentration level 0.1 mg/kg and 0.2 mg/kg were in the range of 79.4%~119.0% and 81.2%~115.5%,respectively,with relative standard deviations of 2.5%~11.5% and 2.8%~8.1%,respectively.The method was accurate,reliable,and can be used for determination carbamate pesticides in vegetables.
