Title: Applied Anatomical Research on the Dorsal Roots of the Lumbar Nerves
Abstract: Objective To investigate the features of the dorsal roots of the lumbar nerves for applying to endoscope-assisted microsurgery. Methods The dorsal roots of the lumbar nerves in 15 cadavers were dissected and measured by gross anatomy to examine the relationship between the roots and dural sac. Results The length and diameter of the dorsal root external and internal dural sac increase gradually from L1 to L5,the diameter and the number of dorsal root bands entering the spinal cord also increase as before, the low-angle between the dorsal root and spinal cord is lesser than 90°,and gradually decrease; The communicating branches are rich between the dorsal roots. Conclusion According to the results, the dorsal roots susceptible to be injured are L1L2L3L4L5.Anatomic features of the dorsal roots should be noticed in the operation.
