Title: Research on Arsenic-resistance Cells in Bone Marrow-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells
Abstract: The paper explores the difference of biological characteristics between fetal and old bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells . Cells from 6 months fetal and old bone marrow were cultured in α-MEM medium to obtain mesenchymal stem cells. The growth curve, the adherent ability and the effect of NaAsO_2 on MSCs were investigated. The adherent fetal and old bone marrow-derived cells gave rise to a population of cells with features of MSCs.These MSCs were similar in cell morpho(logy.)The proliferative of the bone marrow derived MSCs from the fetus is higher than that from the (old.)The resistance ability of the MSCs from the fetus is higher than that from the old.Bone marrow derived MSCs should be enough to sustain a steady supply of cells for proliferation.Fetal bone marrow derived MSCs are more useful in being arsenic- resistance cells.
