Title: The Innovation of Behavioral Antitrust and Its Significance in Antitrust
Abstract: Existing antitrust law follows the rational man assumption of traditional economics, assuming that people and enterprises will always make choices which are in the best interest of theirs in the economic activities. However, under the guidance of traditional economic theory, the rule-of-reason principle can not explain all the monopoly behaviors.Behavioral Antitrust is a new science, which follows the Bounded Rationality thoughts, bringing the behavioral economics thoughts into antitrust and putting forward a new interpretation of the traditional economic model. Until now,the research achievements are limited to western countries, and in this field there is no domestic research in China. This paper analyses the impact of Behavioral Antitrust on the consumers, enterprises and markets, pointing out its antitrust and political implications, and advancing some suggestions for its future research.
