Title: Influence of radial misalignment on characteristics of high speed rolling coupling
Abstract: A kind of rolling coupling was invented in national science research project which has been applied for patent. In order to explore the misalignment characteristics of rolling coupling in high speed transmission, the vibration equations of the multiple-rotor system with rolling coupling was established based on the meshing force mathematical model of rolling coupling and the method of whole coupled matrix.Combined with the actual test model, the dynamic responses in the case of normal operation and radial misalignment with 0.8,1.6,2.4,3.2,4.0 mm was calculated. The results show that the oscillation is gradually increased with radial misalignment increasing at high-speed rotation. And the oscillation of the left-half-coupling tends to be increased, which may lead to the left-side-system to lose stability. However, the oscillation of the right-half-coupling increases smoothly, which is affected little by the left-half-coupling and is good for smooth driving. It is implied that rolling coupling can isolate adverse vibration transmission in shaft systems to protect passive system from damage.
