Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of ginsenoside-Rg3 on proliferation and apoptosis of human erythroleukemia cell line K562.Methods Human erythroleukemia cell line K562 was subcultured to its logar...Objective To investigate the effects of ginsenoside-Rg3 on proliferation and apoptosis of human erythroleukemia cell line K562.Methods Human erythroleukemia cell line K562 was subcultured to its logarithmic growth phase and was put into ginsenoside-Rg3 of different concentrations.A blank control group was set.The growth inhibition of K562 cell cultured in vitro was evaluated by Using MTT colorimetric assay.Apoptotic K562 cells incubated with ginsenoside-Rg3 of different concentrations were determined by light microscope and the apoptosis rate(AR)was counted.The differentiation index was detected by Nitroblue tetrazolium(NBT)test assay and DNA ladder was revealed through agarose gel electrophoresis analysis.Results The MTT colorimetric assay indicated that ginsenoside-Rg3 could inhibit the growth and also induce the apoptosis of K562 cells in a dose-dependent manner.Conclusion Ginsenoside-Rg3 could had an effect on the inhibition of cell growth and inducement of apoptosis in a K 562 cell line cultured in vitro.Read More
