Title: The Development of Foreign Language Teaching Theories and Its Implications for Chinese EFL Teaching
Abstract: With the development of global economy,the position of English as the leading role in the globalization will never be changed in the future 50 years.This paper has analyzed the development of some important foreign language teaching theories and some problems in foreign language teaching in China,and the conclusion is that foreign language teachers should adopt the appreciate teaching theories and methods according to the different students and periods and circumstances,teachers should choose the best teaching methods,renew teaching materials and cultivate the students' ability to use English in real circumstances,and try to avoid the demerits of the negative effects of examination-oriented education system.
