Title: ADVANCES IN TEMPLATE SYNTHESIS OF POROUS CARBON MATERIALS
Abstract: Template method has become a practical way for synthesis of organic and inorganic porous materials in recent years. In this paper the template-based techniques for preparing porous carbon materials with well-ordered structure and high surface areas have been reviewed. The potential applications of these new porous carbons made via template approaches in a number of fields including electronics, biochemistry and catalysis are highlighted. The formation mechanism of porous carbons involved in the template method, the interaction of matrix or template and filling substances, as well as the measures for tuning the pore structures of porous carbons are also addressed.
