Title: The application of thoracoscope in esophageal carcinoma radical operation
Abstract: Objective To explore the application of thoracoscope in esophageal carcinoma radical operation and its safety as well as the clinical effects. Methods 65 cases of esophageal carcinoma patients who accepted the radical operation in our hospital from August 2011 to August 2013 were selected,35 cases with complete thoracoscopic operation were as observation group, and the other 30 cases that treated with traditional thoracotomy radical operation were as control group. The treatment and curative effects of two groups were compared and explored. Results The operation time of observation group was significantly longer than that of control group(P0.05),and the bleeding loss was significantly less than that of control group(P0.05),but there was no significant difference in the number of lymph node dissection in two groups(P0.05).The difference of hoarseness between the two groups of patients were not significantly different(P0.05).The rest of the index(pulmonary infection, hospitalization time,36 hours of chest pain score and 24 hours of drainage) in the observation group were all better than those of the control group. Conclusion Applying thoracoscope in esophageal carcinoma radical operation, not only less trauma, faster recovery, but also can effectively reduce the probability of occurrence of pulmonary complications.Although the surgery takes longer, but with the continuous improvement of medical technology, surgical time will become shorter, so the method deserves to be recommended for clinical use.
