Title: To solve the problem of flow measurement of pipes in large diameter by the corresponding velocity distribution equation
Abstract: Curve of velocity distribution of fully developed turbulent flow was obtained by measuring velocities at the measurement plane of the experimental pipe.The unified velocity distribution of pipe flow and the exponential distribution were used to fit the curve.The fitted value of velocity was close to the real velocity and the unified velocity distribution was more reliable in the middle of the pipe,compared with the exponential distribution.As a result,the unified velocity distribution was used as the fully developed turbulent section's velocity distribution equation.In this way,the pipe flow which was calculated by the velocity distribution equation and the point velocity can be used as the standard flow to calibrate other flow meters in the pipe directly.The flowmeters in the field tubes can be corrected by using this method.
