Title: The selected training of trunk muscle in relation to balance disability in stroke patients
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the effect of different trunk muscle training for balance disability in stroke patients and to search out a better method.Method:In the first stage, this study evaluated the effect of trunk muscle training for balance disability in 37 stroke patients, who were divided into routine group(n=18) and trunk group(n=19). In the second stage, different trunk muscle training methods were used in A group(n=26) and B group(n=25) of stroke patients, the better method was certified. The Berg balance scale and Fugl-Meyer measurement of physical performance were used to assess balance and stability. The data was analyzed by related statistical methods.Result: The value of the training method was lower in the routine group than in the trunk group. There was significant difference between A group and B group. The Berg balance scale and Fugl-Meyer measurement of physical performance were higher in B group than in A group. Conclusion:The findings indicate that the training method of trunk flexors and trunk extensors combined trunk rotators is more effective in stroke patients.
