Title: Sodium metabolic change in cirrhosis patients in decompensation
Abstract: Objective:To observe the characteristics of sodium metabolic change in cirrhosis patients in decompensation. Methods:Blood Na\++ testing for 126 cirrhosis patients in decompensation was performed, meanwhile Child Pugh liver function was classified.Results:46.03% of the patients manifested hyponatremia, the higher the liver function classification, the more obvious the hyponatremia( P 0.05);When the patients had cirrhosis ascitic fluid, the occurrence rate of hyponatremia would reach 54.35%.The rate of serious complication and death for patients with cirrhosis accompanied by hyponatremia was obviously higher than for those with normal blood sodium level( P 0.005).Conclusions:Most cirrhosis patients in decompensation will suffer from hyponatremia complication, which is related to ascitic fluid and liver function.Hyponatremia is the possible reason for serious cirrhosis complication and death.
