Title: Ambiguity Function Analysis of OFDM Radar Signals
Abstract: To address the problem of waveform design,the periodic ambiguity function of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) radar signals is derived and its relationship with the modulating sequences is indicated.Multiple-period ambiguity function is further studied and the characteristics of the side-lobe are analyzed.A corresponding coherent pulse train processing method is proposed to reduce the Doppler side-lobe.Simulation results of Barker codes modulated OFDM radar signal are presented.This approach requires no direct computation of the modulated signals and the ambiguity is derived from the modulating sequence.
