Title: Significance of microvessel density and expressions of CD105,CD31 in gastric carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To investigate the microvessel density(MVD) and the expressions of CD105 and CD31 in the tissue of gastric carcinoma and their relationship with tumor invasion and metastasis, and to evaluate the relationship of MVD value with the prognosis of patients with gastric carcinoma. Methods After operation, section preparation of 61 patients with gastric carcinoma without radiotherapy, chemotherapy or immunotherapy before operation were examined by using S-P immunohistochemical method to detect the expressions of CD105 and CD31,and the microvessel in the tumor tissue was counted quantitatively. Results Under the field of vision of 200 times, the value of MVD marked with CD105 and CD31 in the gastric carcinoma had significance difference in both the depth of carcinoma invasion and metastasis of lymphatic nodes(P0.05).Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that patients with CD10514 and CD3134(200×) had better prognosis and that patients with CD105≥14 and CD31≥34(200×) did not. Conclusion The value of MVD in the gastric cancer is correlated with the biological behavior of the carcinoma, which suggests that the analysis of the genesis of tumor vessel and the count of MVD are an important index in evaluation the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.
