Title: The relationship between membranous nephropathy and hepatitis B virus in children
Abstract: Objective:To explore the relationship between membranous nephropathy and hepatitis B virus in children, and clarify the pathogenetic mechanism. Methods:The serum HBV infection markers were studied in 22 cases with Membranous Nephropathy(MN).The HBV antigen on glomeruli were detected by indirect immunofluorescence technique in 22 cases. The HBV DNA on glomeruli were detected by FISH in 4 cases. Results:The serum HBV infection markers in all cases were positive. The positive frequency of HBV antigen of glomeruli was 90.0%.The HBV DNA on glomeruli were all positive in 4 cases. Conclusion: The HBV infection was closely related to MN in children. The immune complexes and direct infection were related to the pathogenesis of MN.
