Title: Research advances on mutation of MerTK gene induced retinitis pigmentosa
Abstract: Retinitis pigmentosa is a commmon genetic form of retinal degeneration, and a lot of virulence genes are found until now.Recently, many researches have found that receptor tyrosine kinase plays an important role in the metabolism of pigment epithelium. It becomes a hot point in study of virulence genes that the mutation of MerTK gene can cause retinitis pigmentosa. This article reviews the recent studies of retinitis pigmentosa caused by mutation of MerTK.
