Title: Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Formaldehyde by Poly(o-aminophenol)/SDS/nickel Modified Carbon Paste Electrode
Abstract: In this paper, poly(o-aminophenol) is formed on the carbon paste electrode in acidic medium by using cyclic voltampere method. SDS as a surfactant, and then soaked in a nickel sulfate solution mixed with nickel ions, prepared by a modified carbon paste electrode(Ni2 +/ P-OAP/SDS/CPE) eventually. The experiments show that the modified electrode for formaldehyde a good catalytic oxidation resistance. The formaldehyde oxidation peak current and the concentration showed a good linear relationship in the range of 2.0×10-4~2.3×10-3mol/L. The detection limit is 4.8×10-5mol/L,RSD=0.48%(S/N=3). The electrode is used for analysis of formaldehyde content of the sample with satisfactory results.
