Title: PERPARATION OF CONTROLLED RELEASE-TYPE DRINKING WATER DISINFECTANT AND STUDY ON ITS PROPERTIES
Abstract: In order to study the preparation method and related properties of controlled release-type drinking water disinfectant,chemical engineering technology and analytic method,quantitative germicidal test and animal toxicity test were used to carry out laboratory observation.Results: Controlled release-type disinfectant tablets were prepared using trichloroisocyanuric acid,calcium dichloroisocyanurate and high molecular compound as the raw materials which were processed by special technology.It contained 36.4%(m/m) of available chlorine.The controlled release-type disinfectant tablets released the disinfectant slowly with a constant rate for a long time in the water.It showed good storing stability.Addition of 15 controlled release-type disinfectant tablets to each ton of water(about equivalent to available chlorine 6 mg/L) could maintain the residual chlorine not less than 0.22 mg/L,reduce Escherichia coli in artificially contaminated water and coli-group in storing reservoir to 0 cfu/L and disinfect the water continuously for at least 100 days.It was actually nontoxic by acute oral toxicity test,did not cause micronucleus formation in mouse bone marrow polychromatic erythrocytes and had weak cumulative effect.Conclusions: The controlled release-type disinfectant tablet is stable in properies,releases the disinfectant evenly and continuously for a long time and has good germicidal efficacy and low toxicity.
