Methods : In the early period of detoxification , 1029 drug abusers for voluntary detoxification were administered methadone with a tapered dose until the last dose was less than 20 mg·d -1 , and then changed to take buprenorphine after quitting methadone for 24 h. The result was compared with that of the mono therapy of methadone , which is randomly sampled from the patients treated before . Results : The average course of joint therapy was 12.7 d± s 5.7 d and that of mono therapy 23.4 d± s 7.9 d ( P 0.01). The success ratio of the former was 81.44% and that of the latter 54.0% ( P 0.01). Conclusion : Joint therapy remarkably excels mono therapy and it is worth studying further .Read More
