Abstract:Objective To study hepatic growth factor(HGF)and c-met expressions in rat models with liver failure and partial hepatectomy.Methods Liver failure induced by intraperitoneal injection of LPS/D-GalN and...Objective To study hepatic growth factor(HGF)and c-met expressions in rat models with liver failure and partial hepatectomy.Methods Liver failure induced by intraperitoneal injection of LPS/D-GalN and by 70% partial hepatectomy was established,and healthy rats served as controls.The level of serum HGF was detected by ELISA assay and c-met gene expression were detected by real-time PCR and Western-bloting.Results Compared with the control group,the serum HGF level and its receptor c-met were significantly elevated in rats with partial hepatectomy,however,the serum HGF level increased with c-met expression significantly reduced in rats with liver failure.Conclusion The compromised hepatic c-met expression might be essential for defects in HGF-mediated liver regeneration in rats with liver failure.Read More
