Methods: Bone alkaline phosphates(BALP) and DPD were assayed by chemical technique? ELISA in 18 patients with femoral neck fracture (8 males, 10 females), concentration was compared with that of normal persons. Results: BALP in males and females with femoral neck fracture were (183.33+-23.00) and (188.89+-35.33) respectively, urine DPD were (281.11+-84.15) and (294.31+-76.94) respectively. The levels of BALP and DPD in males and females with femoral neck fracture had significant differences with that of control group ( P 0.05),the concentration of DPD in observing group had significant differences with the control group ( P 0.01 ). Conclusions: The incidence of femoral neck fracture in old patients is related to bone loss, the results suggest that the prevention of osteoporosis is the critical step for prevention of femoral neck fracture in elderly people.Read More
