Title: SIGNIFICANCE OF ANTICARDIOLIPIN ANTIBODY AND HOMOCYSTEINE IN DETECTION OF CEREBRAL INFARCTION
Abstract: [Objective] To investigate the clinical significance of anticardiolipin antibody(ACA),homocysteine(Hcy) in atherothrombotic cerebral infarction.[Methods] Collected serum of 67 cases of atherothrombotic cerebral infarction and 62 normal controls, used enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in detection of serum anticardiolipin antibodies, used circular enzymatic method for the detection of serum homocysteine, compared the positive rates of anticardiolipin antibody in the cerebral infarction group and the control group and differences of homocysteine concentrations.[Results] The positive rate of serum anticardiolipin antibody in the cerebral infarction group was significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(37.3% vs 1.6%,χ 2 = 25.503 2,P = 0.003 2).The serum homocysteine concentrations in the cerebral infarction group were higher than those in normal control group(19.23 ± 5.98 vs 10.56 ± 2.42,u = 6.218 5,P = 0.027 1),the difference was statistically significant.[ Conclusion] Anticardiolipin antibody and homocysteine are risk factors for atherothrombotic cerebral infarction, which have a certain forecast effect on cerebral infarction.
