Title: Effects of Nitrogen Rate on Grain Yield, Dry Matter Accumulation and LAI of DryLand Spring Maize
Abstract: To increase the yield of spring maize, selecting TT 33 as experiment material, setting six nitrogen application levels(N 0 kg / ha, 120 kg / ha, 240 kg / ha, 300 kg / ha, 360 kg / ha, 420 kg / ha), the effects of nitrogen rate on grain yield, dry matter accumulation and LAI of dry-land spring maize was analyzed. The results showed that to some extent, with the rising of nitrogen rate, the spring maize yield could significantly increase. When the nitrogen rate was above 300 kg / ha, the increase of spring maize yield slowed down or even slightly reduced. The LAI increased with the increase of nitrogen rate. The LAI of silking stage reached peak after a decline. The total dry matter accumulation significantly increased with the increase of nitrogen rate. In conclusion, under this condition, the appropriate increase of nitrogen rate could greatly improve grain yield. The most optimal nitrogen rate was 300 kg / hm2 for higher grain yield in dry-land soil.
