Microstructure of the alloy and effect of succeeding hot roll process on microstructure and properties of the magnesium alloy strip were studied. The results revealed that the microstructure of AS magnesium alloy strip by twin-roll casting was even; the hypoeutectic microstructure were mainly composed of fine rosaceous dendrite, and the eutectic and hypereutectic microstructures were mainly rosaceous dendrite and equiaxed grains. After hot roll, the extent of recrystallization, effect of grain refinement, as well as tensile strength of materials all were improved with the increase of deformation.Read More
